About Us

Fairway Beef is a local meat shop that opened in Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1946 by Manny Sigel, an immigrant from Eastern Europe. The founding principles that Fairway Beef was built upon were quality, competitive prices, and a friendly shopping experience for both over-the-counter and wholesale customers. Over the years, the business has thrived despite the lack of advertising.

Our History & How We Work

We consider word of mouth the best advertising available, and that is why we consider ourselves one of Worcester's best kept secrets. Today, Fairway Beef is still owned and operated by the Sigel family. The store has not changed much over the years and is truly like stepping back in time. We are still completely refrigerated, so make sure you bring a coat or jacket.

Our meat is never prepackaged and you will always get your order exactly as you want it. We are very proud to have been voted Worcester's best  Meat Market by Worcester Magazine. We look forward to providing you with a old-time butcher shop experience in a time where such indulgences are hard to find.
